Putting your work out there in the world is like holding your breath. Hoping that a story that consumed your life for months, that you lost sleep over hearing and seeing your characters in your dreams will resonate with readers. Then when the anticipation of a release is finally upon you, its hard to be patient and wait for the reviews. To have opinions fly at you and compartmentalize them. But then you get those readers, that get it. That understood the story you felt so compelled to tell and you can finally let go of your breath.

June was a productive month that produced book two in a new series that is set to release in 2027. This story has been a fast write for me, because these characters have lived in my head for over a year. A couple who have been so much fun to write and although four chapters in, I made the decision to change the entire trajectory of the story, it has come together beautifully! I am not quite finished with this first draft, with just a handful of chapters left to go but I do expect this book will be done, initial rewrites complete and in copy edit in the next two weeks. I can't wait for you to meet Brock and Calliope. Two bold, quirky characters with an electric chemistry and the story, think 90's rom/com vibes. So much fun!
